Curatorial interpretation
Yellow, black, grey and white ritual and architectural signs interlock across the whole surface. The mood is bright, ceremonial and dense. Forms that recall monuments, discs, vessels and ornament are built patiently from small marks, giving the surface a devotional, almost ritual rhythm. The work suggests how cultural memory can survive as pattern and shape. Outside the main exhibition route, it belongs to the Explore All 60 Works collection and is best seen alongside its related works in the Sacred Memory / Cultural Geometry group.
Look slowly
Look for the forms that repeat, and the ones that appear only once.
